Making The Rotisserie-Style Whole Chicken In The Crockpot
First, you need to mix all the spices together in a small bowl. This will be the rub for the chicken.
Next, you need to arrange the vegetables in a single layer at the bottom of the crockpot. This will create a lift for the chicken and also add flavor and moisture.
Then, you need to rub some olive oil all over the chicken and sprinkle the spice mixture generously on top and inside the cavity. Place the chicken on top of the vegetables in the crockpot.
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and falls off the bone.
Enjoy your crockpot chicken with vegetables and some bread or rice. You can also make gravy with the juices left in the crockpot if you like.
