Making Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken:

Let’s Make Delicious Honey Garlic Chicken In The Slow Cooker. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and season them with salt & pepper. Add thyme, oregano, rosemary, red pepper flakes, and olive oil. Flip and move the chicken around so that the other side also gets seasoning.

Next, add some vegetables. So go ahead and add chopped-up onions, red and yellow bell peppers. This is going to add a whole lot of flavor.

Now let’s put together a honey garlic sauce. In a glass bowl, add honey, soy sauce, minced garlic & ginger, 2 tsp of sweet chili paste & brown sugar. Mix all the ingredients.

Once everything is mixed in, you will pour this all over your chicken and veggies. Toss everything slowly so that the sauce gets mixed up well. Cover up the slow cooker.

Slow-cook this for six hours. So I have it for six hours, and all you have to do is sit, relax, and wait for dinner. By the way, if you don’t have a slow cooker, you can just do the entire process and cook it on low heat for six hours.

So it’s been six hours, and the chicken is finally done. Now. All we have to do is shred the chicken. Okay. So you will grab two forks and start pulling your chicken apart. It’s going to fall apart very easily.

This part is optional, but I like to thicken the sauce. So I’m pouring it into a pan over medium heat. And then I added a little more brown sugar to the sauce because slow-cooking kind of cooks out the sweetness a little. So make sure you taste the sauce and add more Brown sugar as per your taste. I am adding cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce. I’m going to cook this for two minutes until the sauce thickens continuously.

And that’s it. You’ll pour the sauce all over your shredded chicken, and dinner is ready.

I garnished it with fresh parsley and sesame seeds. We served with some buns and fries. You can also serve this over rice or put it inside of a wrap.

This recipe is very simple and easy, super tasty, and flavorful.
