The pork chops are cooked in a creamy and savory sauce made with cream of mushroom soup, French onion soup mix, and cream cheese or cooking cream. You can add your favorite vegetables like onions, mushrooms, or carrots to make it a complete dish. The sauce is so tasty and comforting that you’ll want to put it on everything!

This recipe is perfect for busy weeknights, cozy weekends, or special occasions.

Ingredients:

Pork Chops: You need four large pork chops. I’m using pork medallions which are essentially the same thing; they just don’t have any bones.

Onion: I’ve got one medium onion that I’ve already diced

Green Pepper: One green pepper or capsicum that I’ve also already chopped up.

Mushrooms: Then we need eight small mushrooms, and those are chopped well.

Onion Soup & Cooking Cream: A packet of French onion soup and cooking cream. I’ve just sort of made my mix; feel free to use that if you’d rather, I’ll give you the recipe ingredients below in case you want to try that.

To substitute for the cooking cream, I will use Philadelphia cream cheese and some beef broth. I don’t know if I’ll need a half cup or a cup, so I’ve got a full cup ready. We’ll see what the consistency is when we start mixing it.

Preparation

Spray the crockpot: Lightly spray your crockpot with nonstick spray to prevent sticking and make cleaning easier.

Layer the pork chops: Season them with salt and pepper and place them in a single layer on the bottom of the crockpot.

Add the vegetables: Top the pork chops with your choice of vegetables, such as onion, mushrooms, or carrots. You can use fresh or frozen vegetables, but ensure they are thawed before adding them.

Make the sauce: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, French onion soup mix, and half a cup of broth. If you are using cream cheese, add it to the bowl and whisk until smooth. If you are using cooking cream, skip this step and just mix it with the French onion soup mix.

Pour the sauce: Pour the sauce evenly over the vegetables and pork chops in the crockpot. Gently press down to make sure everything is coated with the sauce.

Cover and cook: Cover the crockpot with the lid and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or until the pork chops are tender and cooked.

Serving

Turn off the crockpot: When the cooking time is up, turn off the crockpot and remove the lid.

Plate the pork chops: Carefully transfer the pork chops to a serving platter or individual plates. They should be very tender and fall apart easily.

Spoon the sauce: Spoon some sauce and vegetables over each pork chop. You can also serve the sauce in a gravy boat or a bowl for extra dipping.

Enjoy: Enjoy your creamy pork chops with some bread, rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles. You can also garnish them with some chopped parsley or chives for a touch of freshness.
